The Lakeway Resort & Spa has been purchased by Ashford Hospitality Trust, Inc. for $33.5 million. The Lakeway Resort & Spa, originally built in 1966, underwent major expansions in 2001 and 2007 and has four separate buildings with 168 guestrooms and approximately 24,000 square feet of meeting space, including four large flexible ballrooms. An additional $6 million in improvements, including complete renovation of the guestrooms, were made in the last 24 months.
Located on the southern bend of Lake Travis, amenities for Lakeway Resort & Spa include a full-service spa, 24-hour fitness center, three swimming pools, a full-service restaurant overlooking Lake Travis, and nearby access to golf, tennis, and the Lakeway Marina. The purchase is expected to close in February.
