Lake Travis Boat Ramps Opening after Recent Rains

Several public boat ramps at Lake Travis are open or are nearing opening, after record-breaking rains in Austin in May 2015. Currently open are Bob Wentz at Windy Point, Mansfield Dam, Pace Bend – Tatum Cove, and Pace Bend – Tournament Point.

On May 1, Lake Travis was at 629.5 feet. Rainfall has raised the lake level approximately 30 feet over the course of the month to just over 658 feet, with a slight increase still expected through the next week. Its full pool is 681 feet.

Open Public Boat Ramps

— Bob Wentz at Windy Point requires a depth of 653 feet. It is open for non-motorized watercraft only.

— Mansfield Dam requires a depth of 633 feet. It has four lanes open to the public.

— Pace Bend – Tatum Cove requires a depth of 653 feet. Call 512.264.1482 for information.
