A record 43 seniors at Lake Travis High School were recognized by the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program, chosen from more than 1.5 million entrants and representing less than one percent of each state’s high school seniors. The selections were based on scores from the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test that was taken when they were high school juniors in 2015.
“We are very proud of these students for their remarkable achievements,” said Lake Travis High School principal Kimberly Brents. “Our students continue to raise the bar on academic excellence. Their success not only reflects the quality and caliber of our teachers and staff who directly impact student learning, it also reflects the support and commitment of their parents who are instrumental to their success. I am one proud principal!”
