Median Home Price in Lakeway over $400k

The Austin Board of Realtors® September 2016 housing data as released by Clarus MarketMetrics® on the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University website shows that the median home price in Lakeway topped $400,000 in September 2016, for a median price of $430,000.

This is decrease in median price of 2.5 percent, however, compared to September 2015. Total sales were up 13.6 percent, for a total of 25 home sales in Lakeway in September 2016.

The nearby city of Bee Cave had a median home sales price of $525,742 in September 2016, an increase of 9.8 percent compared to September 2015. Eleven homes sold in Bee Cave in September 2016, an increase of 10 percent.

The city of Jonestown had a median home sales price of $395,000, for a 30.4 percent increase compared to September of last year. Six homes sold in Jonestown, a 500 percent increase in sales compared to September 2015.

In Point Venture, median home price was up 50 percent to $357,000. This is based on three home sales, an 81.3 percent increase.

Spicewood had a median home price of $417,850, an increase of 1.9 percent. This is based on 18 home sales, an increase of 63.6 percent.

The highest median price in the region was found in West Lake Hills, which had a median price of $1,120,000. Comparatively, the City of Austin had a median price of $350,000, notably less than all of these lake-area and westward regions surrounding Austin.
