Lights On! Holiday Celebration

Kick off the holiday season in Lakeway with the annual Lights On! Holiday Celebration marking the first lighting of the Trail of Lights in the parking lot behind Lakeway City Hall. Set for Friday, December 2, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., “Santa, Mrs. Claus and Rudolph will be nearby to ‘plug in’ the Trail of Lights display and to speak to all of the good little boys and girls of Lakeway,” according to the Lakeway City website.

At the free event, attendees will be able to decorate cookies compliments of HEB and roast marshmallows in the firepit. Hot chocolate will be available for purchase from the IceCream2U truck. Organizers will be collecting non-perishable food donations for Lake Travis Crisis Ministries.

Trail of Lights

Following the Lights On! Kickoff to the season, the Lakeway Trail of Lights will run from Saturday, December 3, 2016 to January 1, 2017, from 6:30 p.m. to midnight daily. The display is behind Lakeway City Hall and features thousands of lights, as well as “amusing tableaus, all accompanied by delightful seasonal music!” Candy canes, Christmas trees, toy soldiers, and more!

Breakfast with Santa

A special Breakfast with Santa will be held Saturday, December 10 at the Lakeway Activity Center, with seatings at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will meet children individually, and Rudolph and Santa’s helpers may also attend. Admission includes breakfast by Santana’s Catering, a toy for each child, and a photo of each child with Santa. The events will be emceed by Bill Dickson.

Tickets may be purchased at the Lakeway Activity Center for $15 each and do sell out. Call the Activity Center at 512-261-1010 for more information.

Breakfast for kids includes pancakes and sausage, fruit salad, and juice. Breakfast for adults includes a breakfast taco, fruit salad, coffee, and juice.
