The non-profit organization TexARTS presents The Marvelous Wonderettes February 17 through February 26 at the Kam and James Morris Theatre. An off-Broadway hit set at the 1958 Springfield High School prom, this family friendly show includes over 30 classic ’50s and ’60s hits, such as “Lollipop,” “Dream Lover,” “Son of a Preacher Man,” “It’s My Party,” “Stupid Cupid,” and “Lipstick on Your Collar.”
The show follows the lives of Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy, and Suzy – “four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts” – from prom night to their ten-year high school reunion. Learning of the “highs and lows the girls have experienced in the past decade,” attendees will be “charmed to find that no matter what life throws their way, they will conquer it together.”
Tickets range from $40 to $60. Visit the TexARTS website to purchase tickets and for more information.
