Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce Luncheon: Tourism and Development

The Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce’s next speaker luncheon will feature a presentation by Larry McManus with the Community Relations Division of Governor Greg Abbott’s Economic Development and Tourism Business Assistance Office. McManus will be providing an overview of economic development and tourism in Texas and how this relates to Lake Travis area development and tourism.

According to the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce, McManus assists “economic development partners and companies in the business expansion process” and has “built a highly regarded reputation with communities and regional economic development allies throughout the State of Texas.”

McManus has 24 years of experience in the economic development of Texas, including overseeing a team instrumental in announcing more than 140,000 jobs and approximately $63 billion in capital investments between January 2005 and August 2015. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas at El Paso, is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma, is a member of the Texas Economic Development Council, and is on the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service Economic Development Program Advisory Board.

The event will be held November 8, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Vintage Villas at 4209 Eck Lane, Austin, TX, 78734. The cost for the speaker luncheon is $30 for members and $35 for non-members, with lunch provided. The event is sponsored by Complete Care.
