The Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 2018 Lake Travis Economic Forecast luncheon on January 17, 2018. The annual forecasting event is designed to provide firsthand information about expected growth and development in the South Lake Travis area. This year’s event will include presentations from representatives from area cities, the Lake Travis Independent School District, the real estate industry, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.
The event will be held at Vintage Villas at 4209 Eck Lane, Austin, TX 78734, with registration and networking at 10:30 a.m. and the program and luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost for the event is $40 for members of the Lake Travis Chamber and $45 for non-members.
Lake Travis ISD Superintendent Dr. Brad Lancaster will provide updates on school district news. The City of Lakeway’s City Manager Steven Jones will talk about what can be expected in 2018 in Lakeway. Monty Parker, a council member for the City of Bee Cave, will discuss plans and expectations for Bee Cave. Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty Broker Doug Land will discuss how previous and upcoming growth for the area will impact residential and commercial real estate. And, Keith Phillips, Assistant Vice President and Senior Economist with the San Antonio Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, will discuss economic expectations and financial implications of the new year for the region. Phillips is among the top five percent of economists for distinct publications and has been the most accurate economic forecaster for Texas job growth for 16 years in the Western Blue Chip Economic Forecast.
