Real estate sales and prices were mixed in December 2017 for the communities along and near Lake Travis and the Colorado River, in statistics reported by the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University.

In Lakeway, the median price for sold homes was $450,000 in December 2017. This was a 13.5 percent decrease compared to December 2016 and the same as November 2017. Twenty one homes sold in Lakeway in December 2017, which is a 10.5 percent increase compared to December 2017 and a 16 percent decrease from November 2017.

Lago Vista had a median price of $234,000 in December 2017, which is a decrease of 15.6 percent compared to the previous December and a 5.8 percent decrease compared to November 2017. Twenty seven homes sold in December 2017, which was a 50 percent increase from both December 2016 and November 2017.

Bee Cave homes sold for a median price of $470,000 in December 2017, a 9.6 percent decrease from December 2016 and a 25.4 percent decrease from November 2017. Six properties sold, which was a 20 percent increase from December 2016 and a 100 percent increase from November 2017.

In Jonestown, the median sold price for homes in December 2017 was $592,500. This was a 106.4 percent increase from December 2016 and a 137 percent increase from November 2016. Three homes sold in the month of December, which was the same as in November and a decrease of 40 percent compared to December 2016.

Further up the Colorado River, in Horseshoe Bay, the median price of sold homes was $1,095,000, which is an 83.6 percent increase from December 2017 and a 208.5 percent increase from November 2017. The median price was based on a total of six sales in Horseshoe Bay.
