The Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce is hosting “Free Drinks and Money Talks” on August 15, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Vintage Villas at 4209 Eck Lane in Austin. Experts include W. Tom Robinson CPA, Will Mitchell of Mitchell & Associates Investment Consultants, and Mike Carroll of Thrash Law Firm. The topic of the event is establishing, managing, and retiring in business.
The panel will discuss what business owners should know regarding the full spectrum of business planning, including tax law changes and how to prepare both the business and the owner for retirement.
Robinson is the president of W.Tom Robinson CPA, PC, where he provides business and individual accounting services, including taxes and payroll. He also is the treasurer of the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce. Mitchell owns a fee-based investing consulting business and has been active with numerous local non-profits, including the Rotary Clubs of Lakeway/Lake Travis and Bee Cave, the Highland Lakes Group, Lake Travis Fire and Rescue Community Foundation, Central Texas Water Coalition, and the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce. Carroll focuses his law practice on estate planning, asset protection, and probate and was named a 2017 Five Star Wealth Manager in Texas Monthly. He is active with his church and has served on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity.
