The Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce is hosting a luncheon discussing the State of the District as presented by Lake Travis Independent School District Superintendent Dr. Brad Lancaster. The event will be held on October 17, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Vintage Villas.

The Lake Travis Chamber website states, “As we all know, the exemplary Lake Travis Independent School District is the #1 reason people are moving to our little haven in the Hill Country. Come see LTISD Superintendent Dr. Brad Lancaster and be ‘in the know’ about the latest on the school district.” 
 
Lancaster, who has been superintendent of the district since 2012, has degrees from Baylor University and Texas A&M University and has served as superintendent of several districts across the state. He is on the on the Texas Education Agency’s Commissioner’s Cabinet of Superintendents; is part of the Texas High Performance Schools Consortium and the Texas Association of School Administrators Legislative Services Committee; and is the Fast Growth Schools Coalition Chairman.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Macy Dot Neal, a Lake Travis High School student and varsity cheerleader who twice has been named a Texas Country Music Association Rising Star Top 5 Finalist. She has opened for artists such as Kacey Musgraves, The Powell Brothers, Randy Rogers Band, Chris Colston, Craig Campbell, Chase McClanahan, Darrin Morris Band, Chrystal Yates, Wayland Hicks, Parmalee, Thompson Square, Riley Redding, Austin Layne, and others.

Admission for the luncheon is $40 for members of the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce and $45 for non-members. Registration is required through the Chamber. The event is sponsored by College InRoads, Best Version Media (Lake Travis Sports Magazine and Neighbors of Lakeway Magazine,) and Primrose School of Lakeway.
