The Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce will host a luncheon featuring Lake Travis Independent School District Superintendent Dr. Brad Lancaster, who will discuss the “State of the District.” According to the Chamber, exemplary-rated LTISD with over 10,000 students is the “#1 reason people are moving to our little haven in the Hill Country,” and the event is billed as an opportunity to “be in the know about the latest on the school district.”
The luncheon will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Flintrock Falls Clubhouse on Jack Nicklaus Drive. Admission, including lunch, is $40 for members and $45 for nonmembers.
Lake Travis ISD is a 6A district, with an expanding population and footprint, including active construction as well as recent new campuses.
Lancaster has served as the superintendent of LTISD since 2012 and has a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Baylor University, plus a Master of Science in Educational Administration and a Doctorate of Education from Texas A&M University. Previously, he was a teacher, an assistant principal, the executive director for curriculum, and an assistant superintendent. He has served in the Midway, Allen, Ennis, and College Station Independent School Districts.
In addition to his duties as superintendent, he is on the Texas Education Agency’s Cabinet of Superintendents, the Texas High Performance Schools Consortium, and the Texas Association of School Administrators Legislative Services Committee. He also is the chairman of the Fast Growth Schools Coalition.
