Lake Travis ISD Earns ‘A’ in 2019 State Accountability Rating System

The Lake Travis Independent School District has earned an ‘A’ rating from the Texas Education Agency’s 2019 accountability system, which ranks districts and campuses from A to F and campuses from 0 to 100. The ratings are based largely on how well students perform on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR), but also include factors such as Graduation Rates; College, Career and Military Readiness; and weighted performances for annual TEA targets.

Ratings for LTISD schools:

  • Lake Travis High School – A (90)
  • Hudson Bend Middle School – A (90)
  • Lake Travis Middle School – B (87)
  • Bee Cave Elementary School – B (89)
  • Lake Pointe Elementary School – A (96)
  • Lake Travis Elementary School – B (83)
  • Lakeway Elementary School – A (95)
  • Serene Hills Elementary School – A (94)
  • West Cypress Hills Elementary School – B (87)

“As superintendent, I am very proud of our district and campus ratings,” said LTISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brad Lancaster. “It is reflective of the dedication and hard work of our teachers and support staff.”

However, he said, “The current rating system is limited in scope and is not a complete measure of our exceptionally high academic and extracurricular performance districtwide. There is a great deal more to our district than what can be encapsulated in a single letter grade that is to reflect an entire academic year. Regardless, you too should be proud of our ratings, and I ask that you help us share the good news throughout our great community.”
