According to a report by Community Impact, new construction in the Lake Travis area has been booming despite the pandemic and stay-at-home orders. “As far as residential construction in the Lake Travis-Westlake area goes, interest in and sales of new homes appear to be booming, and one of the most active communities right now is Rough Hollow in Lakeway,” said the report.
It quoted a Rough Hollow representative as saying June 2020 had record sales and the second quarter of 2020 was “the most sales we’ve had for any quarter since the development began in 2006.”
Signal Hill in Bee Cave and Provence off Hamilton Pool Road reported rising sales following the initial lifting of the lockdown. “I’ve heard people are trying to get out of dense urban centers,” said Signal Hill Developer Evan Loomis. “I heard that; then, I experienced it. More people are wanting to move into the suburban areas,” the article quoted.
